We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Travel Agency Officer
Locations: Nigeria
Duties and Responsibilities
- Support travel agency operations through efficient reservations, ticketing, and customer service delivery while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
- Process flight reservations, ticket issuance, revalidation, and refunds
- Provide travel advice and itinerary planning to clients
- Maintain booking records and update customer databases Assist in achieving individual and team sales targets
- Support corporate travel account servicing Ensure compliance with airline and agency policies.
- Handle hotel bookings, travel insurance, and tour arrangements
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries and booking requests •Ensure accuracy in fare calculation and ticketing procedures
Key Performance Indicators
- Monthly and annual sales revenue achievement
- Agency profitability and cost management
- Functional Knowledgeable in these areas
- GDS usage (Amadeus, Sabre, or Galileo) Fore rules and ticketing procedures
- Travel documentation and visa basics
- Airline schedules and routing knowledge
- Reservation and booking processes.
- Corporate account acquisition and retention rate
- Ticketing accuracy and reduction in ADM/ACM exposure
- Customer satisfaction and complaint resolution turnaround time Staff productivity and performance targets
- Growth in new business and market share.
Knowledge:
- Practical use of Global Distribution Systems (GDS) such as Amadeus, Sabre, or Galileo for flight bookings, ticketing, and reissues Basic airline fare rules, ticketing procedures, and refund/revalidation processes
- BSP (Billing and Settlement Plan) processes and reporting basics
- Knowledge of travel documentation requirements, including visas, passports, and insurance
- Airline schedules, routing, and connections for domestic and international travel.
Education and Experiences
- BSC / OND / HND / Bachelor’s degree in any relevant discipline
- 1-3 years’ experience in a travel agency or airline reservations environment.
- JATA / UFTAA professional certification or equivalent industry qualification is highly required
- Certification or training in GDS ticketing is an advantage.
